Family
She’s looking like her mama, a little more every day, one part woman, the other part girl. To perfume and make up, from ribbons and curls, trying her wings out in a great big world. But I remember butterfly kisses after bedtime prayers, stickin’ little white flowers all up in her hair. You know how much I love you daddy…
I know I’m 19, and I’m “all grown up and moved out”, but I still miss my dad and my family alot of the time. I will always love home, always. No matter how hard it can be, or how many family arguments arise, it’s the only place in the world I can be myself and know I’ll be loved, no matter what. That’s what family is, loving someone, regardless. You love them cause of who they are, not what they can do for you. That’s such a rare thing in the “big bad world,” finding genuine people, with a genuine concern for you. That’s why family will always be precious.
